Built: July 1938 at Crewe Works

Description: Princess Coronation class. Tractive effort 40000 lbf.

Duties: initially allocated to Camden, London, then Crewe North depot, then Carlisle Upperby.

Significant Events: During her 25 years service ran 1,650,000 miles - the second highest mileage by any member of its class.

Retirement: withdrawn from Edge Hill depot in February 1964
